The patron who commissioned this screen was the widow of Harry Packard a renowned Asian antiquities collector and dealer. When I showed her the drawing she spoke softly to herself..."THIS is what Harry was trying to tell me about...." When it was unveiled in San Mateo, California on her daughter's tenth birthday.... she wept with gratitude...
