"Stand by the 
Limpid Lake..."

The Commission:
I was given a quotation from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy and asked to make a folding screen about it....


"Stand by the limpid lake, sleeping amid willowy banks dyed with emerald.  See therein the mirrored sky and the moon ablaze with her mild glory.  This will stir your heart...."


I introduce a slight breeze to gently ruffle the surface of the water to make it sparkle.....

Above, the screen is resting on a piano with lights behind, and below it is resting on my light table just after it was completed!

I used crystal rescued from an antique chandelier to make the sparkle on the water...
